What I collect and why
Contact form. When you write to me through the form, I receive your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message. I use them only to reply and, if we decide to work together, to follow up on that. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The messages are delivered to my inbox and are not stored in the website’s database.
Email and WhatsApp. If you contact me directly by email or WhatsApp, I use your details the same way. WhatsApp is operated by Meta, and its own privacy policy applies to your use of it.
Spam protection. Form submissions are checked by Akismet, a service of Automattic Inc. (USA), to filter spam. Akismet receives your IP address, browser information and the content of the submission. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in keeping the form free of spam (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Fonts. This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts (Google LLC, USA), so your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads. Legal basis: legitimate interest in displaying the site consistently (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Server logs. The site is hosted by SupportHost, which processes technical data such as IP addresses and access logs on my behalf, for security and to keep the site running. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
What I don’t do
No analytics or tracking tools, no advertising, no profiling, no automated decisions. I never sell or share your data for marketing.
Transfers outside the EU
Akismet and Google may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep your data
Messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any work that follows, then deleted. Data I must keep by law, such as invoicing records, is kept for the legally required period.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format, by writing to jon@thanx.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).
