About
In the beginning was the word_
I started with words: an MA in Communication Sciences at the University of Trieste (a five-year degree) and a postgraduate specialisation in Digital Writing. Along the way I built my first websites (Dreamweaver, anyone?), then in 2006 I moved into SEO full-time, working for web agencies in Italy.
What was my thesis at the Uni in Italy about? Web writing, and how the internet would change language, culture, the way we think… and so, the world! :O
In 2009 I moved to Sydney, first working as a contractor for an agency, then going freelance. After four years in Australia I became a nomad, working from wherever the wifi is good, and over the years Las Palmas de Gran Canaria became my base.
I never stopped learning: PHP, WordPress development, marketing, and later Python. Today I get my hands dirty with AI systems — LLM pipelines and AI automations that run in production — while going deeper into agents, machine learning and deep learning.
Embeddings are where we are now, but words are where it all started. And meaning is what everything has always been about.
// What I do now
SEO is the foundation. AI is the direction.
SEO
I still do SEO, because the fundamentals still matter. My niche is helping international businesses get found in Italy.
Italian SEO →AI development
I build LLM pipelines and AI automations you can rely on every day. At least, I do!

The toolbox
I’m quite particular about my work, whether it’s a sentence, a site structure or a line of code. Luckily, AIs are now even more particular than I am, and much faster. So I no longer build brick by brick: the AI lays the bricks, I check that the walls are straight.

// Languages
Words, in three languages
Italian [native]
My mother tongue, and my first craft. I've been writing in Italian professionally since 2006, and plenty of my articles are still out there on the web.
English [fluent]
Learnt the hard way during 4 years of work in Sydney, and sharpened every day since, with international clients, for my studies and for pleasure.
Spanish [functional]
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is where I live most of the year, so Spanish is part of my everyday life: the lovely Canarians, and some paperwork too.
// Off the clock
Away from the keyboard
What I do when I’m not working says as much about me as what I do when I am. It’s a hint of my values, and that matters: before being client and freelancer, or colleagues, we’re two humans with visions, agency and desires.
So, what do I do when I’m off?
- I meditate. Because, as the saying goes, not all answers can be found on Google. And because it keeps me sane and balanced.
- I exercise. Our bodies were never designed to sit in front of a computer all day, so keeping them working takes some dedicated time. Plus, it makes me feel great: a regular shower of happy hormones.
- I do new things. Nothing opens your mind like doing something new, or at least that’s what I’ve read. Among the stranger ones lately: singing kirtan, ecstatic dance, men’s circles. By the time you read this, I’ve probably done something crazier.
- I travel. Not always far: sometimes it’s just a ride on my motorbike. But as my story shows, I’m still nomadic at heart, and I head to Asia at least once a year.
