Italian Google Ads Transcreation
Your campaign, rewritten for how Italians search, not just translated.
Running Google Ads in Italy with translated keywords and ads is the fastest way to pay for the wrong clicks. Transcreation adapts your campaign’s language to Italian search habits and culture, so your budget reaches the right people. That covers the keywords, the ads and the landing pages.
I’m a native Italian SEO and web copywriter, working in search since 2006. I don’t manage your campaign: I give your team, or your agency, the Italian it needs to perform.
What I transcreate
1. Keywords
A literal translation picks the wrong words, and in Google Ads the wrong words cost money. “Hotel” and “albergo” both mean hotel, but an Italian expects an albergo to be simpler and cheaper. Same budget, different customers.
- An Italian keyword list mapped to your original one by intent, not by dictionary
- Negative keywords: the Italian terms that would waste your budget
- Regional and colloquial variants, where they matter
2. Ads
Responsive search ads give you up to 15 headlines of 30 characters and 4 descriptions of 90. Italian runs longer than English, so a straight translation often doesn’t fit, or fits only by sounding awkward. A grammar slip or a literal idiom makes an ad look spammy, or just funny.
- Headlines and descriptions written in Italian, within the character limits
- Assets: sitelinks, callouts, structured snippets
- Tone matched to your brand and to Italian expectations, for example formal Lei vs informal tu
3. Landing pages
You pay for the click; the landing page has to turn it into a customer. A cheap translation keeps your words and loses your message.
- Landing page copy adapted for Italians and consistent with your keywords and ads
- If needed, I build the page too (HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, WordPress)
Why not machine translation or AI?
Machine and AI translation are fast and usually grammatically right. What they miss is the choice: which word your Italian customer actually types, which one sounds like an ad they’d trust. That takes a native speaker’s judgment, and it’s what you pay for.
How it works
- You send your current campaign (keywords, ads, landing page URLs) and your goals.
- I deliver the Italian version in a spreadsheet, with a note on each choice.
